Bath Open Studios is a voluntarily run group proud to represent and promote all art and craft makers residing in our great city. While each of the seven art trails and open studios has its own individual style, all share a relaxed and friendly welcome. We are committed to supporting artists, showcasing their practice, inspiring Bath communities, and providing opportunities to sell and buy unique and original local artwork.
Seven art trails and open studios take place annually in seven areas of Bath. The 2023 dates are currently:
Larkhall: 29th April - 1st May 2023Newbridge: 20th - 21st May 2023Bear Flat: 27th - 29th May 2023Widcombe: 17th - 18th June 2023Combe Down: 9th - 10th Sept 2023BAS: 22nd - 24th September 2023Batheaston: 7th - 8th October 2023 |
'Art at the Heart' at the RUH: 16th October 2023 - 14th January 2024
Bath Open Studios isn't only about the individual trails. We also are pleased to hold an annual exhibitions at the Royal United Hospital's 'Art at the Heart' - which is an award winning art and design programme that stimulates healing and well-being and creates an uplifting environment for the hospital's patients, visitors and staff.
Artists and makers from all seven Bath art trails show their works in the Central Gallery at the RUH. Paintings, prints, photographs, ceramics and mosaic are put on show and, with a third of all sales going towards the 'Art at the Heart' programme, it's a great opportunity not only to buy something unique and locally made but also to support the vital works of 'Art at the Heart'. Showing a selection in the hospital corridors is an exciting taste of the works which are created and available during the trails each year. |
